• RDA ACCESSIBILITY RIDING SESSIONS AT COUNTRY TREKS
Accessibility Mark is a division of Country Treks dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of people through education, therapy and fun. We have been accredited the RDA Accessibility Mark to encourage more people into the world of horse riding and its therapeutic benefits.
LUDLOW & DISTRICT RIDING FOR THE DISABLED GROUP
We are very pleased that Ludlow & District RDA, are joining us from September 2021. The group has been based at North Farm Riding Establishment, Ludlow, for many years, but due to retirement and change to a livery yard, the group had to move. L&D RDA provide life-enhancing opportunities to children & adults of all ages & disabilities, from local areas, through the therapeutic and educational benefits of horses. As an independent charity, under the umbrella of the national RDAUK, the group provides coaches & volunteers, run sessions for riders and carry out fundraising.
Chair of L&D RDA Trustees, Denise Cottom, said
“We are delighted to be joining Steph and her wonderful team of people and horses at Ginny Hole’s great facilities. They have made us feel so welcome already. We all look forward to riding here for years to come”
For more information on riding or volunteering with the group contact Margaret Anderson, Group Organiser, tele: 01584 810099, mobile: 07464 075860 or email email@example.com.
• NEW RIDERS WELCOME
We regularly offer sessions for both adults and children with physical and learning disabilities. There is also opportunity to apply for funded sessions. We run these sessions with our amazing volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do without them and to achieve more, we need more help! You could become part of this amazing and dynamic team!
• VOLUNTEERING WITH RDA
Volunteering with the riding for the disabled is fun, rewarding and confidence building just to mention a few benefits. If you have any time to spare we would love to hear from you. All Volunteers are trained so no need to have previous experience. You can make an enormous difference to someone’s life.
• SHORT BREAKS SESSIONS
If you have a child that lives in the Shropshire area you can apply via Shropshire County Council for an ‘All in Session.’ This session will be subsidized by the Council and is aimed at children who find it hard to use a standard activity (like cubs or brownies) but still want to enjoy sports, clubs, and activities with other children like them.
The All-in programme offers a range of clubs, activities, and groups where staff and facilities are equipped to support children/young people with additional needs and disabilities.
